Görkem TürkkAN

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Görkem TürkkAN began his medical education at Gülhane Military Medical Academy in 2003 and graduated from Zonguldak Karaelmas (Bülent Ecevit) University Faculty of Medicine in 2009. He specialized in Radiation Oncology at Trakya University, completing his residency in 2016. After mandatory service, he worked as Assistant Professor and Head of the Department of Radiation Oncology at Muğla Sıtkı Koçman University (2019–2021). During this period, he also worked at Maastricht University Medical Centre – MAASTRO Clinic (Netherlands) as a clinical researcher in stereotactic radiotherapy, thoracic radiation-induced lung toxicity, and proton therapy (2020). From 2021–2023, he served at Istinye University Faculty of Medicine and Liv Hospital Ulus Radiation Oncology Clinic, earning his Associate Professorship in February 2023. Since May 2023, he has been serving patients at Hisar Hospital Intercontinental. He is one of Turkey’s experienced physicians in stereotactic radiotherapy and MR-guided radiotherapy, having successfully performed over 2,500 MR-Linac sessions. He has 27 published articles, 31 congress presentations, 5 book chapters, and continues to work on 2 TÜBİTAK projects. Married with one son.
